Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Parlsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sasha Parlsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chase Brennan!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brennan drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brennan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Parlsh throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Brennan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parlsh is looking to stand up but Brennan isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Parlsh lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parlsh shoots for a takedown but Brennan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Parlsh misses with a jab, cross combination.

Brennan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Brennan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Brennan is pressing down on Parlsh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Parlsh is holding on for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Parlsh gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brennan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Brennan wants to pass the guard but Parlsh is keeping the position.
Parlsh seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Brennan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brennan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Parlsh gets caught napping as Brennan dives in and scores a takedown. Parlsh manages to retain guard.
Parlsh controls Brennan momentarily but Brennan frees himself.

Brennan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parlsh sprawls well initially but Brennan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Parlsh is looking to stall here but Brennan recovers full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brennan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Parlsh looking to sit in guard and control but Brennan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Parlsh wants to sweep but no luck.

A close second round but Chase Brennan will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Parlsh swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Brennan counters by moving into the clinch.

Brennan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Parlsh can't fight it off and eventually Brennan manages to take the fight to the floor. Parlsh looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Parlsh is trying to control the position but Brennan postures up.
Brennan controls from within his opponent's guard.

Parlsh is trying to keep Brennan in close.

Brennan wants to stand but Parlsh has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brennan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parlsh swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Parlsh enables Brennan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Parlsh manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Brennan won't allow Parlsh to get back to his feet.
Parlsh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Parlsh wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Brennan manages to pass to side control.
Parlsh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Brennan is nestled in close to Parlsh, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Parlsh tries to roll over but Brennan keeps him under control.

Sasha Parlsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Chase Brennan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Brennan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
