PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ling Manchu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenneth Ank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manchu's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bodies. Ank has chosen RATM as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Ling Manchu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenneth Ank!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manchu fails with the takedown.
Despite the aggression on Ank's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Manchu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ank's waist but Ank gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manchu off to one side.
Manchu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ank tries to avoid it but Manchu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ank to the ground. Ank escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ank is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ling Manchu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Manchu.

Ank sneaks out the side door and pushes Manchu away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Manchu shoots in but no luck this time.
Ank moves out of range as Manchu throws a body kick.
Manchu shoots in looking for a takedown but Ank manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Manchu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Manchu shoots in but no luck this time.
Ank throws a counter combo.
Manchu shoots for a double leg takedown but Ank sprawls well. He's pushed Manchu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ling Manchu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manchu is breathing heavily.
Some wild striking there from Ank.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Ank.
Ank lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ank.
Manchu shoots in for a takedown but Ank shows good takedown defense.
Both fighters circling a little - Ank finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Ank drops Manchu with a beautiful combination! Manchu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ank is looking for the KO!

It looks like Ling Manchu has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ank tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ank keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And Ank tries to counter it with a takedown but Manchu pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Ank fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ank scores with a kick to the midsection.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ank shoots in but Manchu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Manchu pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Oooooh!!! Ank has knocked Manchu down with a huge combo! Ank steps away and waves a wobbly Manchu back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Manchu is rocked!
Manchu steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ank. That one must have hurt.
Oh Manchu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Manchu drops his hands momentarily and Ank needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Manchu just on the top of the head. Manchu drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Manchu - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kenneth Ank!
