Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Blood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mashrafe Mortaza!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mortaza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mortaza with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blood to score with a decent uppercut.

Blood slaps away a takedown attempt from Mortaza, before circling back to the center of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mortaza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mortaza got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mortaza has managed to get both his arms back between Blood's legs - danger averted.

Blood working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mortaza doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mortaza manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mortaza sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Blood doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Mortaza paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Blood - great work!
