Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Thory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darby Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thory comes to the ring accompanied by It's a fight. Gordon has chosen United Booty Foundation as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vic Thory!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darby Gordon!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thory looks to land a right hand but Gordon moved out of range.
Thory throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gordon sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thory lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gordon will feel that in the morning.
Thory darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Thory leaves Gordon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Thory misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thory throws a hook to the side of Gordon's head but Gordon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Gordon shoots in and gets a takedown into Thory's guard.

Gordon seems to be working for a kimura but Thory defends the submission attempt.
Thory is looking for a sweep. Gordon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gordon is trying to control the action in half guard but Thory is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Thory is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gordon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Thory's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Thory's back!

Thory defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Gordon's arms.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

You can see the frustration on Thory's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vic Thory.
