The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCaron throws a body kick that misses.

McCaron closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McCaron wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stevenson, who protects the arm well.

Stevenson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McCaron is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCaron wants to take Stevenson's back here but Stevenson is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
McCaron takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Stevenson has left one of his arms exposed and McCaron doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Stevenson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
