Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Rold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Enrique Rold!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a hook to the side of Rold's head but Rold sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Rold dives in and scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Rold tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.

Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rold is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rold bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard.

Rold drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rold jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
We've been told by Johnson's head coaches at Netherlands Top Team & KT that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Enrique Rold showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rold pushes a forearm under Johnson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Johnson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Enrique Rold!
After the fight, Enrique Rold was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
