The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sophrano darts in and clinches Doyle up against the cage.
Doyle can't break the clinch.
Sophrano lands a nice knee to the body.

Sophrano pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sophrano closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Doyle did well to prevent Sophrano getting side control.

Doyle looks like he's trying to stand up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sophrano prevents Doyle from standing back up.
Sophrano passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Doyle!
Sophrano postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Doyle looks a forlorn figure.

Sophrano has hold of Doyle's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Doyle manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sophrano cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

It looks like Barry Doyle has been cut.
Sophrano cracks Doyle with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
