Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miron Iago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guillermo Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miron Iago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guillermo Mendez!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez throws a hook but Iago blocks it.

Iago shoots in and bounces Mendez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mendez looks to land a combination but Iago avoids it well.

Iago closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well Mendez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
