Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomas Ayers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Watson's choice of entrance music: Everybody On The Ground. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bubba Watson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Watson moves into the clinch.

Watson tightens his grip and picks Ayers up, before dumping him to the ground. Ayers manages to land in guard.

Ayers is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Watson is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Watson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Watson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ayers uses from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ayers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Watson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Watson working for submissions but it's allowed Ayers to get to half guard.
Ayers looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Ayers is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Watson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ayers.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Watson is looking to get back to is feet but Ayers passes into side control.
Ayers takes a little break here. Watson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Ayers creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Watson is trying to work for a sweep but Ayers has mounted him!

Ayers seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Watson for as long as he can get away with.

Watson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ayers controlling the pace for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ayers's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Ayers seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Watson postures up.
Watson wants to control from the top but Ayers keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ayers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Watson manages to get himself to full guard.

Tomas Ayers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Watson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ayers presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Ayers really is a fat lump.
Ayers landing punches.
Watson is desperately trying to improve his position but Ayers has a good base and remains in mount.

Watson is trying desperately to improve position.
Watson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Watson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Watson is breathing heavily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Ayers dives in and scores a takedown into Watson's guard.
Watson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ayers engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Watson wants to hit a switch here but Ayers passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Watson there!

Ayers moves to take his opponent's back.
Ayers keeps control of the position easily here as Watson tries to buck him off.

What can Watson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ayers has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Watson is in real trouble here. Ayers gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Watson is tapping out! Ayers wins by rear naked choke!
