The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopes shoots in looking for a takedown. Vin tries to sprawl out of it but Lopes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Vin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Lopes with that takedown attempt.
Vin tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Vin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lopes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diogo Lopes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vin tries to keep at a distance but Lopes has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lopes is proving hard to escape from.

Lopes is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Vin rolls with it to try and escape but Lopes cranks on the arm and Vin is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
