Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulsen misses with a wild body shot.
A cross from Barakat lands.
Paulsen swings for the body but Barakat moves out of range.
Barakat looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Paulsen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Paulsen's coach down at Hell's Balls NY Hellcademy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Paulsen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Barakat scores with a body shot.
Paulsen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barakat throws a leg kick
and Paulsen counters with a left to the body.
Paulsen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barakat moves away.
Paulsen looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Paulsen lands with a kick to the ribs.
Paulsen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barakats jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A head kick misses from Barakat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barakat misses with a jab, cross combination.
Paulsen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Barakat looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Paulsen lands with an uppercut that bounces Barakat off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Qasim Barakat has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Paulsen moves out of range as Barakat strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Paulsen. Barakat does a little dance to reset his feet.
Paulsen looks to land a left hand but Barakat moved out of range nicely.
Paulsen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barakat takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Paulsen lands with a good body shot.
Paulsen throws a body punch but Barakat moves out of range.
Paulsen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barakat at a distance.
Paulsen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Barakat leaves his chin hanging out and Paulsen seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Barakat crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Knut Paulsen!
