Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emmett Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mel Tools (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emmett Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mel Tools!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tools throws a lazy head kick
and Austin counters with a low kick, right behind Tools 's knee.
Tools tries to clinch
and Austin counters with a one-two to the body.

Tools clinches up against the cage.
Austin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tools just stands there and leans against the cage.

Tools drags the fight down to the ground.
Tools wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Austin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Tools scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Austin wants to get back to full guard.
Tools performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Tools wants to lay and pray for a moment but Austin keeps working.

Tools content to control rather than advance.
Tools prevents Austin from improving his position.
Tools is nestled in close to Austin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tools is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tools thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Austin's head.
Austin tries to roll over but Tools keeps him under control.
Austin wants to get back to his feet.

Tools decides to return to a standing position.

Austin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Tools has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Austin is on him like a limpet, forcing Tools back against the cage.

Tools pulls guard successfully.
Tools pulls Austin in to control the position.
Austin wants to stand and escape but instead Tools has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Austin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Austin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tools can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Austin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tools passes into side control.
Tools is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Austin's shoulder. That is not cool.

Tools stands up.

Tools scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tools is looking to take a break and control but Austin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Austin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tools wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mel Tools dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Tools closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tools lands in his opponent's guard.

Austin uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Mel Tools seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Austin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tools decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tools wants to clinch but Austin slips to the side
and Austin counters with a stiff right hand.

Tools shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tools was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Austin is trying to improve his position.

Tools controlling from side mount.

Tools working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Austin tries to improve position but can't.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Austin tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Tools presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Austin is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Tools has taken his back!

Austin tries to escape but Tools has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Austin staying busy and making it hard for Tools to control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tools is riding his opponent, not letting Austin buck him off.

Tools is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Austin knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Austin for a finish.
Tools has the hooks in. Austin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

A close second round but Mel Tools will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Tools shoots in and bounces Austin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Austin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tools is one step ahead there.
Tools wants to control from the top but Austin keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tools is controlling him.
Tools advances position into side control!

Tools decides to stand back up. Tools steps back and let's Austin get back to his feet.

Tools bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Austin throws Tools to one side and escapes!
Tools closes the distance looking to clinch
and Austin counters with a series of strikes. Tools will be more careful next time no doubt.
Austin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tools.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Austin looking for a sweep. Not yet Austin, not yet.

Austin is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tools pulls guard successfully.
Tools is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Austin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tools, up you get!

Austin tries to pull guard but Tools forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Tools stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Tools pulls Austin into guard.
Tools is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Austin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tools has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Austin has managed to get both his arms back between Tools's legs - danger averted.

Austin gets to his feet. Tools looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Emmett Austin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Austin enables Tools to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Austin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Tools won't allow Austin to sweep him here.
Austin is working hard here to advance position.

Austin has his feet on Tools's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Austin closes the distance and clinches.

Austin is trying to trip Tools. He has hold of a leg but Tools is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Austin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Tools wriggles free and stands up.
Emmett Austin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mel Tools is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tools drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

I would just about give that final round to Mel Tools.
I've got Tools winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
