Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andre Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Janicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soares's entrance music is Black Sabbath - Iron Man. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares throws a series of punches but Janicki moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Soares. Janicki does a little dance to reset his feet.

Janicki creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Soares's defenses.
Janicki throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Janicki lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Soares dodges an elbow strike from Janicki.
Soares tries to pull guard but Janicki holds him up against the cage and eventually Soares drops back down to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Janicki comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Janicki creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Soares jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Janicki walks away with a smile on his face. Soares gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Janicki connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Soares momentarily.

and Janicki counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Janicki lands an elbow inside that Soares shrugs off.

Oh Soares is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Janicki has Soares pressed against the cage. He pushes Soares back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Janicki throws a beautiful elbow that sends Soares crashing to the floor! Janicki piles on the pressure with more strikes! Soares is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
