Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Corrigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fujiwara Tsuyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Corrigan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Teardrop. Tsuyoshi has chosen WHISPERED - HOLD THE SWORD as his entrance music. Fujiwara Tsuyoshi has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsuyoshi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Corrigan. That did some damage!
Corrigan swings for the body but Tsuyoshi moves out of range.
Corrigan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tsuyoshi manages to avoid it.
No joy there for Tsuyoshi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Corrigan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Tsuyoshi drives through and clinches with Corrigan against the cage.

Corrigan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tsuyoshi smiles and moves away.
Tsuyoshi throws a hook but Corrigan avoids it easily.
Corrigan throws a shot from downtown. Tsuyoshi moves away and avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I was talking to Corrigan's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Corrigan tries to work over Tsuyoshi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Corrigan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tsuyoshi is defending well for now.

Tsuyoshi has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Corrigan seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Tsuyoshi can turn it around.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tsuyoshi just misses with a elbow thrown towards Corrigan's brow.
Tsuyoshi has Corrigan pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Corrigan is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Tsuyoshi - that's hurt Corrigan badly! Oh, another knee lands and Corrigan is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Corrigan doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Fujiwara Tsuyoshi!
