Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lyman Kissell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kali Parlsh!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parlsh throws a head kick that misses.
Kissell has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kissell lands a slapping body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parlsh.

Kissell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Parlsh tries to close the distance and clinch but Kissell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Parlsh wants to take the fight to the mat but Kissell manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Parlsh jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kissell walks away with a smile on his face. Parlsh gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Parlsh shoots in for a double leg but Kissell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kissell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parlsh.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kissell is trying to get an arm triangle but Parlsh is defending well.
Kissell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parlsh keeps working.

Parlsh is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kissell asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Kissell misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Kissell is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Parlsh will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Parlsh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kissell off and has taken his back!

You can see the frustration on Parlsh's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kissell throws an elbow but Parlsh slips to the side and avoids it well.

Kissell goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Parlsh rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kissell's guard! Nice work there by Parlsh!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Parlsh is looking to advance position but Kissell has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Kissell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Parlsh is looking to escape.
Parlsh is in a horrible position here. Kissell smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Kissell is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Kissell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Parlsh blocking the ground and pound.
Parlsh holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kissell tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Kissell punching from mount but Parlsh doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Parlsh's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Kissell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Parlsh is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kissell lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Parlsh can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kissell fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Parlsh is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kissell postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Parlsh badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Kissell around the waist but Kissell pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Kissell is the winner by TKO! Kissell jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyman Kissell!
