The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokela tries for a takedown but Gomez circles away easily
and Gomez counters with a one-two to the body.
Gomez leaves Jokela with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It looked like Gomez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jokela shoots in but Gomez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Let's hope that Jokela has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

It looks like Jokela might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

I would just about give that final round to Jukka Jokela.
