Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeffry Cooley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ole Dahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ole Dahl is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeffry Cooley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ole Dahl!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dahl drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cooley is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Dahl presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Cooley with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Dahl is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Cooley is defending well.
Dahl jumps guard but Cooley stands there with Dahl around his waist. Dahl gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Cooley lands a nice elbow.
Dahl has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Dahl pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dahl fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cooley sprawls well initially but Dahl persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cooley moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Dahl tries to free his leg and advance position but Cooley is retaining full guard.
Dahl wants to stand but Cooley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Cooley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dahl is one step ahead there.

Dahl drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dahl jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dahl stands up and waves to Cooley to follow him.
Dahl slaps away a takedown attempt from Cooley, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Dahl moves into the clinch successfully.
Dahl blocks an uppercut.

Cooley shoots and misses

and Dahl counters by clinching up.

Cooley throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dahl blocks it with crossed arms.

Cooley is pushing Dahl up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Dahl breaks from the clinch.
Cooley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dahl.
Dahl is looking to clinch but Cooley is avoiding it.
Dahl slaps away a takedown attempt from Cooley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeffry Cooley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dahl looks for a takedown but Cooley sprawls well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Cooley tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Dahl gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cooley regains guard.

Cooley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

As Dahl tries to get set, Cooley tries to push him back and clinch up but Dahl manages to avoid the attempt.

Dahl tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cooley knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Cooley wants to improve his position but Dahl is controlling well.
Cooley is in trouble now - Dahl has advanced to mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cooley is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ole Dahl showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I would just about give that final round to Ole Dahl.
