Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kleber Koike Erbst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Heras!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heras takes the fight into the clinch.
Heras lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Erbst misses with a hook to the ribs.
We've been hearing reports that Erbst has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Heras's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Erbst takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Heras shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Erbst eats them both and turns towards Heras to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Joshua Heras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Heras throws a combination that misses

and Erbst counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Erbst wants to pass the guard but Heras is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Erbst won't allow Heras to get back to his feet.
Erbst stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heras swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Heras wants to get back to his feet but Erbst is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Erbst trying to control the position from guard on top but Heras is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Erbst trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Heras breaks the clinch.
Erbst is trying hard to land a takedown here. Heras sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Erbst misses with some punches.
Heras utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Erbst misses with an elbow strike.

Heras pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Heras stuffs the takedown attempt from Erbst. Erbst gets slowly back to his feet.

Heras has closed the distance and engaged Erbst in a clinch.

Heras misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Erbst avoids the body shot from Heras.
Erbst attempts a counter takedown but Heras avoids it well and moves away.
Heras does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Erbst changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Heras tries to avoid it but Erbst manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Heras to the ground. Heras escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kleber Koike Erbst. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Well Heras has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Joshua Heras decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
