Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Hammet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Calloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammet comes into the arena with Finger Eleven - Slow Chemical blaring out of the sound system. Calloway has chosen The Death Symphony as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mark Calloway has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Calloway!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calloway pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hammet misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Calloway is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hammet throws a sloppy head kick and Calloway moves out of range easily.

Hammet scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Calloway tries to improve position but can't.
Calloway parries the strikes from Hammet easily there. Hammet is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Calloway to escape.

Hammet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hammet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hammet cracks Calloway with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Hammet landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Hammet grinds an elbow into Calloway's temple.
Hammet sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Calloway is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Calloway is trying to get back to half guard.
Hammet scoring with punches and elbows.

Hammet is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Calloway knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hammet lands a nice forearm strike.

Hammet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Hammet has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Calloway is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hammet yanks on the arm and Calloway is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hammet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gordon Hammet!
In his post fight interview, Gordon Hammet gave a big smile as he said 'Man! How good is it to come back in this cage again and again and show every time that you still have something left in the tank. Awesome, that's the word.'.
