Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Tye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chen gets tackled into the cage by Tye. Tye maintains the clinch.

Tye closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Tye has Chen pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tye pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Chen tumbling to the mat - Tye dives into Chen's guard.

Chen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well Tye has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
