Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between JD Wildstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raijin Kage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wildstein kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bring It On. Kage comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ride the Lightning kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 16 - 3, fighting out of London, JD Wildstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Raijin Kage!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kage scores with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wildstein looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wildstein throws a low kick but Kage moves out of range easily.
Wildstein fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kage on the side of the head.
Kage takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wildstein connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kage misses with a head kick.

Wildstein shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kage manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Kage is looking for a triangle but Wildstein pushes his legs off easily.

Wildstein tries to free his leg and advance position but Kage is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kage swings for the body but Wildstein moves out of range.

Kage throws a solid leg kick but Wildstein takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kage.

Kage drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wildstein defends it well.

enabling Wildstein to counter with a crisp jab.

Kage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kage has his foot on Wildstein's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wildstein works his way back into a safe position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wildstein moves into full mount! Kage won't be happy about that!

Kage sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Wildstein got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kage has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wildstein has managed to get both his arms back between Kage's legs - danger averted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wildstein thows a body kick. Kage tries to catch it but that hurt him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kage enables Wildstein to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kage manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wildstein not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kage is looking to sweep but instead, Wildstein has passed into half guard.

Well, if Wildstein is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
