Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vadim Yakovenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Tiura!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yakovenko lands a leg kick that knocks Tiura off balance momentarily.

Tiura darts in and clinches Yakovenko up against the cage.
Tiura has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yakovenko avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Tiura keeps control of Yakovenko as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Yakovenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Yakovenko tries to keep at a distance but Tiura has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tiura can't find room to land a body shot as Yakovenko controls the action.
Tiura jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yakovenko walks away with a smile on his face. Tiura gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tiura with a lazy takedown attempt
and Yakovenko counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Tiura badly! Yakovenko follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Tiura out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Yakovenko finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Vadim Yakovenko!
After the fight, Vadim Yakovenko was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
