The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCaron shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Davenport manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
McCaron looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Davenport wants to stand but McCaron is controlling the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davenport is looking for a sweep.

McCaron is working to tighten his grip on Davenport's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Davenport has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McCaron is really squeezing tight and eventually Davenport passes out! McCaron breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Johnny McCaron decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
