Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arthas Menethil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Parasenko!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menethil fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Parasenko on the side of the head.
That kick from Menethil tenderised Parasenko's leg. Parasenko is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sloppy strikes from Parasenko. Those never looked like landing.
Menethil clobbers Parasenko with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Menethil misses with an uppercut. Parasenko saw that one coming.
Menethil's corner calls for a 1-2. Menethil obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Menethil. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Menethil.
Arthas Menethil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Menethil connects with a body shot that sends Parasenko's belly button to the back.

and Parasenko counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Menethil!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Menethil tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Parasenko presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Menethil is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Menethil fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Parasenko checks it well.

Arthas Menethil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parasenko misses with a takedown attempt - Menethil sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Menethil lands a jab to the nose.
Menethil is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
A telegraphed right hand from Menethil misses the target.
Menethil looks to score with a jab to the body but Parasenko is just out of range.
Menethil tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Menethil lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Parasenko closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parasenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Menethil is fending him off so far but Parasenko persists. Nope, Menethil circles away and we're back to standing.

Menethil throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Menethil lands a nice leg kick that just misses Parasenko's sensitive parts.
A jab lands there for Menethil.

Menethil gets caught flat footed, as Parasenko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Parasenko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Menethil is trying to control the position but Parasenko postures up.
Parasenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Parasenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Menethil is trying to keep Parasenko in close.

Parasenko is working Menethil over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Menethil is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Parasenko dives into side control.
A lull in the action here as Parasenko stalls from top position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Parasenko is standing up over Menethil. Menethil looks to escape but Parasenko dives into side control.

Menethil is trying to control Parasenko's posture but Parasenko avoids it.
Menethil is letting Parasenko control him for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Menethil tries to improve position but can't.
Parasenko gets to mount! Menethil was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Parasenko landing punches.

Parasenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Parasenko is continuing to stall.
The adventures of Parasenko the control monster continue. Boring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Menethil tries to control Parasenko's body but Parasenko pushes him off. Menethil squirms to his side and now Parasenko has his back!
Menethil wants to get back to his feet.
Menethil is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Parasenko.

Menethil wants to get back to his feet. He's half way up but Parasenko drags him back down with a jolt, managing to get his forearm deep under Menethil 's chin! Menethil is in real trouble! His face is turning bright red and he's forced to tap! This one is all over!
