Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Patrick Jane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradley Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Can't Hold Us. Patrick Jane could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bradley Johnson's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Bradley Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jane swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jane gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jane throws a lazy head kick
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
Jane misses with a combination
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jane throws a head kick that misses
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
Johnson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jane.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jane moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Jane has managed to clinch.

Jane manages to break the clinch.
Jane tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.

Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Johnson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Jane moves into range and clinches up with Johnson.
A bit of stalling here from Jane.
Jane wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Jane will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Johnson up against the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bradley Johnson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jane moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
A slow jab from Jane misses its intended target.
Jane closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Johnson counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Johnson dodges the punch combination from Jane.
A little jabbing left from Johnson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Jane misses with a head kick.
Johnson throws out a counter right but Jane avoids it with no problem.

Jane forces Johnson back against the ropes and clinches.
Johnson landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Johnson obliges.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Johnson tries to land knees in the clinch but Jane avoids the damage to the body.
Jane digs a right hand into Johnson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Johnson's gas tank.

Jane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

letting Johnson counter with a right hand.
Jane feints a jab promting Johnson to slip. Jane then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Johnson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jane throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jane wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bradley Johnson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jane closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side
and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bradley Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Jane lands a head kick that bluckles Johnson and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Jane no doubt looking to push for a finish!


Johnson is rocked!


It looks like Bradley Johnson has been cut.
Jane wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side
and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jane shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Johnson eats them both and turns towards Jane to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Jane finish him?

Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt
and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Jane closes the distance and clinches.

Jane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jane closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
Jane connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.
A shot to the body from Jane misses
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.

Jane gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jane blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jane takes a knee to the side of the body.
Jane is trying to break free.

Jane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jane moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Patrick Jane.
I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
