Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mountain Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ranaroldo Silvardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 69 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ranaroldo Silvardo!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvardo with a lazy takedown attempt

and Rivera counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rivera.

Rivera gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Silvardo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rivera throws a big right hand that misses.
Silvardo wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rivera's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Rivera postures up in Silvardo's guard and throws a big left but Silvardo blocks it.
Silvardo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Silvardo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivera is staying active underneath Silvardo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Silvardo is nestled in close to Rivera, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

My spies in Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center inform me that Silvardo has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Silvardo wants to control but Rivera is keeping him busy.
Rivera knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silvardo on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silvardo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Silvardo postures up and lands a big shot to Rivera's brow.

Silvardo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rivera swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Rivera looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Rivera looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Silvardo!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rivera is looking to take a break and control but Silvardo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Silvardo is looking for a sweep.

Silvardo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Silvardo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rivera's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rivera's back!

Rivera defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Silvardo's arms.
Well, with Silvardo on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Rivera is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Silvardo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Rivera feints and as Silvardo raises his hands in defense, Rivera changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silvardo pulls Rivera in to control the position.
Silvardo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Silvardo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Silvardo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Silvardo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rivera is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rivera throws an elbow that misses. Silvardo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rivera's guard. Nice move by Silvardo!

Rivera manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Silvardo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rivera is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Silvardo is breathing heavily.
Silvardo tries to pull guard but Rivera forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Rivera jumps into guard, dragging Silvardo to the mat.

Rivera is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Silvardo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Silvardo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rivera avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mountain Rivera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ranaroldo Silvardo.
Rivera throws a knee to the head but misses.

Silvardo tries to pull guard but Rivera forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Rivera lands a good knee to the midsection. Silvardo won't want to take too many of those.

Rivera turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rivera tries for a kimura but Silvardo is defending well.
Rivera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silvardo keeps working.

Rivera is trying to get an arm triangle but Silvardo is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Silvardo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Silvardo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Rivera is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Silvardo trying to control but Rivera postures up.
Rivera not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Silvardo wants to control but Rivera is keeping busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rivera lands a nice short elbow.


It looks like Ranaroldo Silvardo has been cut.
Silvardo is trying to control but can't.
Rivera perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Rivera is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rivera is thwarting Silvardo's attempts to control the position.
Rivera thows a huge punch but Silvardo dodges it nicely.

Well, if Rivera is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silvardo is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mountain Rivera dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Ranaroldo Silvardo's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Rivera throws a sloppy head kick
letting Silvardo counter with a right hand.
Rivera avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silvardo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rivera has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rivera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silvardo to the mat! Silvardo manages to get full guard.


Silvardo is rocked!
Rivera arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Silvardo's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mountain Rivera!
Ranaroldo Silvardo was interviewed post fight and said 'You know he a very tough guy!'.
