The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado shoots for a takedown but Angelo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Angelo feints the counter takedown.
Machado misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Angelo slaps away a takedown attempt from Machado, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Angelo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Machado has hold of Angelo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Angelo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Machado cranks the arm and Angelo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Angelo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
