The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Xezeron lands but Mcdonald takes it in his stride.

Mcdonald seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Xezeron stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Xezeron wants it to stay on the feet.

Xezeron lands a head kick that stumbles Mcdonald and the fighters go to the mat.

Mcdonald is rocked!

Xezeron thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Oh Mcdonald is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Xezeron is pushing down on Mcdonald's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mcdonald is fighting to maintain full guard but Xezeron has managed to sneak the leg through.

Xezeron is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mcdonald defends it well.
Xezeron takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Mcdonald is trying to get back to full guard.
Xezeron frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Xezeron has control of Mcdonald's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mcdonald regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Xezeron quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Xezeron but it's paid off an Mcdonald is forced to tap! Nice work by Xezeron.
