Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Grossman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filipovic has chosen Wild boys as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grossman goes for a double leg but Filipovic avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Filipovic continues to drive forward.
Filipovic looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A left and a right from Filipovic both land. Nice combination.

It looks like David Grossman has been cut.
Filipovic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Grossman.
Filipovic lands a high kick!
Filipovic throws a head kick but Grossman moves out of range.
Grossman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Grossman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Grossman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Filipovic can pounce on him.
Nice takedown defense from Filipovic. No joy for Grossman on that attempt.
Grossman throws a looping overhand right but Filipovic ducks down to avoid it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Grossman is defended easily by Filipovic.
Filipovic scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This has been an exciting period of action!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Grossman crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Filipovic - the referee stops the clock and Grossman gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Filipovic. Grossman manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Grossman throws a shot from downtown. Filipovic moves away and avoids it.
Grossman looks for a takedown but Filipovic sprawls well.

Grossman fails to land the takedown.
Grossman is breathing heavily.
Grossman throws a hook to the side of Filipovic's head but Filipovic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Filipovic moves away from the strike by Grossman.
Filipovic lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Grossman takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Grossman shoots in for a takedown but Filipovic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Filipovic is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Grossman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Filipovic scores with a push kick.
Grossman tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Grossman dives in and grabs Filipovic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Filipovic pushes down on Grossman's head and hops out.

Filipovic lands a big head kick that sends Grossman tumbling to the mat! Filipovic takes a step backwards and waves Grossman back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Grossman is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Filipovic lands with a nice body punch.
Oh Grossman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Grossman drops his hands momentarily and Filipovic needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Grossman just on the top of the head. Grossman drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Grossman - he's done!
