Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Letang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor Davis has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Letang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor Davis!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Letang.
Davis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Connor Davis has been cut.

Letang wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Letang is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Letang rushes Davis and presses him up against the cage.
Letang has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Davis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A nice side step and Davis releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Letang is looking to counter the offense by Davis and move into the clinch.
Davis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Letang seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Letang feints and as Davis raises his hands in defense, Letang changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Letang tries to score with some ground and pound. Davis controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Letang working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Davis pushes Letang away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Letang gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Letang in side control, throwing shots but Davis defends.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Letang goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Davis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Letang's guard! Nice work there by Davis!
Davis wants to get up but he can't break Letang's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Letang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Letang is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.
Letang pulls Davis in to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pierre Letang will probably get the nod.
