Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benny Breese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Benny Breese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Thurgood Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breese steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jenkins. That one must have hurt.

Breese shoots in and gets a takedown into Jenkins's guard.
Jenkins has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Jenkins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jenkins lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jenkins engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Jenkins might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jenkins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jenkins scores with a nice right hand.
Jenkins goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Breese has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jenkins is proving hard to escape from.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jenkins is on top in guard.

Breese is trying to control the position but Jenkins postures up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Breese wants to sweep here but Jenkins controlling him for the moment.

Jenkins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jenkins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Breese's guard.
Jenkins is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Breese!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Breese throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Breese is in Jenkins's guard.
Jenkins is controlling Breese's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Breese wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving.
Jenkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Breese manages to get himself to full guard.

Jenkins passes Breese's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jenkins works his foot free and advances to mount.

Breese tries to lock up and control but Jenkins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Thurgood Jenkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Breese takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Jenkins connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Breese's hands.

Breese darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jenkins is trying is best to control the position here.
Jenkins is pressing down on Breese's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Jenkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Breese's guard.

Breese striking off his back but it's not causing Jenkins any problems.

Thurgood Jenkins is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jenkins pushes down on Breese's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jenkins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Jenkins uses his free foot to push down on Breese's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Breese.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Let's hope that Jenkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Breese tries to hold on but Jenkins postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Thurgood Jenkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jenkins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
