Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Celio Aravinda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augusto Azevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azevedo has chosen Welcome To The Jungle as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Augusto Azevedo!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azevedo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Let's hope that Azevedo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Aravinda has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Azevedo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Aravinda has picked Azevedo up and slammed him! Azevedo can't keep hold of the triangle and Aravinda manages to pass to side control!

Augusto Azevedo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Azevedo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Celio Aravinda.
I think Azevedo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
