Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stephen Thompson !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, No Feget!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Feget swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Feget throws a nice looking combination but Thompson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Feget shoots in looking for a takedown. Thompson tries to sprawl out of it but Feget keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thompson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Feget tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thompson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Thompson moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromFeget.
Thompson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Feget.
Thompson misses with a double jab
and Feget decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thompson 's guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Thompson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Thompson jumps guard and drags Feget to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Feget wants to pass the guard but Thompson is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Feget throws a big elbow that misses.
Feget trying to control the position from guard on top but Thompson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Feget working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Feget wants to control from the top but Thompson keeps moving.
Thompson pulls Feget in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thompson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Feget looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Feget missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Feget trying to control the position from guard on top but Thompson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Feget looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thompson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Feget tries to get to full guard but Thompson has control of the leg.
Feget wants to get back to his feet.
Thompson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Feget really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thompson . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thompson prevents Feget from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thompson is working for a kimura here but Feget manages to reverse the position and he's now in Thompson 's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Feget has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Thompson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Feget is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Thompson pulls down on the head and he's put Feget to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Stephen Thompson !
