The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Suryawan as James shoots in.
James misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Suryawan wants to counter the offense by James and move into the clinch position.
James looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
James looking to pass the guard.
James has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Suryawan is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suryawan keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
James sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Suryawan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

James wants to control from the top but Suryawan keeps moving.

James decides to take the fight back to the feet.
James shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Suryawan is trying to defend but James finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Suryawan pushes James off but James dives into side control.

James is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Suryawan is trying to escape and James transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Suryawan is forced to tap! Nice work there by James! Very nice indeed!
