The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yount scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Volkov scores with a jab to the body.
Volkov takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Yount staying out of range there.
Yount keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Volkov.
The fighters circling - Yount throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Yount really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Volkov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Volkov tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Yount is able to avoid easily.
Yount seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
A solid leg kick lands there for Volkov.

Yount has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Beast in the buildup to the fight.

Yount throws a looping overhand right but Volkov ducks down to avoid it.

Yount is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Volkov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Volkov there as he acknowledges the shot.

Volkov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Robin Yount has been cut.
Yount fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Volkov.

Volkov throws out a loose jab but Yount uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Yount counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Volkov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Yount shoots in but Volkov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Yount catches Volkov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Yount has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Volkov.

Volkov throws a big shot that misses.
Yount is looking to counter punch.

Volkov lands a jab to Yount's midsection.
Yount throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Volkov.
Yount scores with a crisp jab that stopped Volkov in his tracks.
Volkov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Volkov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yount can pounce on him.
Volkov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Yount thows a body kick. Volkov tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Yount takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Volkov moves forwards but Yount connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Volkov throws a jab but it's blocked by Yount.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Volkov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yount.
Yount walks into a left hand.
Volkov throws a low kick but Yount avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robin Yount dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Robin Yount's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Volkov drops Yount with a huge uppercut! Yount drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Volkov is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
