Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emanuel Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Laterreur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Case fails with an attempt to clinch.
Laterreur wants to clinch up but Case keeps it at a distance.
Laterreur shoots in but Case avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Laterreur looks for a takedown but Case sprawls well.
Laterreur misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Case throws a big counter combination but Laterreur scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Laterreur closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Laterreur tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Case tries to bench press Laterreur off him but Laterreur keeps the position.

Laterreur has hold of Case's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Case manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Case is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Laterreur is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Case is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Case manages to reverse the position and now he's in Laterreur's guard. Nice work there by Case.
Laterreur is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Case is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been informed that Laterreur has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Case is looking for a sweep. Laterreur is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Laterreur seems to be working for a kimura but Case defends the submission attempt.
Case wants to control but Laterreur is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Case tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Laterreur manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Laterreur shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Case pinned against the cage. Case gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Case tries to counter by clinching up but Laterreur breaks away and moves out of range.
Laterreur takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Case has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Laterreur is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
