Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 19 - 2, fighting out of New York, Linkin Portier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 15 - 2, fighting out of New York, Richard Renninger!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Portier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Renninger.
Portier misses with a low kick.
Portier pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Portier's jab looks to have found its range, popping Renninger under the eye.
Portier drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Portier swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Renninger! But no joy.
Renninger moves out of range as Portier strikes.
That kick from Renninger tenderised Portier's leg. Portier is trying to keep his angry face on.
Renninger's coach down at Hell's Balls NY Hellcademy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Renninger's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Renninger looks to land a right hand but Portier moved out of range.
Renninger wants to land a leg kick but Portier is out of range.
Renninger lands a jab to the head.

Portier closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A knee to the head by Renninger.
Renninger misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Portier lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Renninger manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Portier advances position into side control!
Renninger wants to control but Portier postures up.

A lull in the action here as Portier stalls from top position.
Renninger struggling a bit here.
Renninger is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Portier is staying active.
Renninger controls the position for a moment.
Portier has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Renninger tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Renninger trying to control but Portier flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Portier has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Renninger's body.
Renninger trying to control the hands but Portier won't let him.

Renninger rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Renninger makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Renninger.
Portier controls from within his opponent's guard.
Renninger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Renninger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Portier is one step ahead there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Renninger is on top in guard.

Portier looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Renninger puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Portier wants to control but Renninger is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Renninger has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Portier defend it? Renninger steps over the head and cranks it - Portier is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Renninger!
