Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil High (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Yakovlev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Yakovlev's choice of entrance music: Maroon 5 - Sugar. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
High avoids the head kick by Yakovlev.

Alexander Yakovlev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
High lands a nice hook to Yakovlev's body. Yakovlev takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yakovlev has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

High feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Yakovlevs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
High is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Yakovlev feints and then cracks High's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow High down.
Yakovlev doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That has opened up Alexander Yakovlev's cut even more.
High lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

High fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yakovlev has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Phil High really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Museum of Monsters & Madmen logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
Alexander Yakovlev spoke after the fight, saying 'I ll be back, as soon as possible'.
