PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ceasar Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan comes to the cage accompanied by Fat Lip. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Armstrong feints and as Morgan raises his hands in defense, Armstrong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Armstrong stops Morgan from standing up.

Morgan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Armstrong gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Morgan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Morgan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Armstrong is aware though and is defending well.
Armstrong is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Morgan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Armstrong.
Armstrong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Armstrong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Morgan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Armstrong's guard.

Armstrong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morgan defends it easily.

Morgan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Armstrong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morgan has managed to get both his arms back between Armstrong's legs - danger averted.

Morgan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morgan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Morgan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Armstrong is fending him off so far but Morgan persists. Nope, Armstrong circles away and we're back to standing.

Armstrong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Morgan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Armstrong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Morgan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Armstrong is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Morgan defends it well.
