The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McVaughn swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bryant tries to clinch but McVaughn is having none of it.
Bryant darts in looking for a takedown but McVaughn gets double underhooks and turns Bryant into the cage.

McVaughn wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Bryant drops back looking for a leg! McVaughn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McVaughn manages to kick Bryant off! Bryant jumps back into McVaughn's guard.

McVaughn digs a right hand underneath Bryant's ribcage. Bryant let out a lung full of air as it connected.
McVaughn has Bryant pressed against the cage, preventing Bryant from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

McVaughn lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bryant backwards.

Bryant is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. McVaughn can't fight it off and eventually Bryant manages to take the fight to the floor. McVaughn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
