Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamari Caram!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Loyd Pope!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caram moves into range and clinches up with Pope.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Caram slowing the pace effectively.
Caram lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Caram has picked Pope up - he's going for a ride! Caram dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Caram lands a nice short elbow.
Caram content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Caram winds up and cracks Pope with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pope wants to control but Caram is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Caram not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Caram is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ground and pound from Caram.
Caram controlling the pace.
Caram throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Caram thows a huge punch but Pope dodges it nicely.
Caram not doing much here.
Caram throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Pope to regain full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Caram accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Caram slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Caram has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Pope looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Caram shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Caram was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pope wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pope can't do much from the bottom here.
Caram throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Caram creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pope sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Caram is staying tight to Pope's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Caram's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Pope on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
You can see the frustration on Pope's face as Caram controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Caram in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Caram happy to just control the position for now.
Caram is putting a hurting on Pope here, landing some big shots from side control.
A lull in the action here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jamari Caram dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Caram darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Pope pushes Caram off and gets back to his feet.
Jamari Caram seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Caram forces Pope back against the cage and clinches.
Caram lands with a left to the head.
Caram avoiding damage as Pope throws knees to the body.
Nice body punch from Caram.
Caram landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pope takes a knee to the side of the body.
Pope tries to land knees in the clinch but Caram avoids the damage to the body.
Caram makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Caram has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Pope - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Caram, and another! Pope is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Jamari Caram!
Jamari Caram decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
