Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolajs Ognjen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nikolajs Ognjen!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua shoots in for a double leg but Ognjen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ognjen jabs Rua to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rua pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Despite the aggression on Ognjen's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Rua clinches up against the cage.
Ognjen landing knees to the head.

It looks like Mauricio Rua has been cut.
Rua is trying to push Ognjen away but Ognjen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rua throws a knee to the head but misses.

Rua is rocked!

Ognjen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oh Rua is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rua walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Ognjen swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

In his post fight interview, Nikolajs Ognjen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
