The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gatsby pivots, looking for a leg kick but Blazer is out of range and Gatsby settles back down.

Gatsby throws a front kick aimed at Blazer's knee but Blazer avoids it well.

Blazer tries to bum rush Gatsby with a series of wild strikes but Gatsby uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looks like Ricky Blazer has been cut.

Blazer lunges at Gatsby with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gatsby's hand.
Blazer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gatsby had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gatsby closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Blazer has one foot on Gatsby's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Gatsby is rocked!
Nice uppercut lands for Blazer. That snapped Gatsby's head back.
Oh Gatsby is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Blazer pounces like a tiger and cracks Gatsby with a vicious hook! Gatsby is down but not out! Blazer follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

In his post fight interview, Ricky Blazer started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Jay Gatsby stepped up to the mic, saying 'Damn, I had him. I don't think I'd have lost if... In fact, I'm sure I won this fight, hope you give me a rematch, old sport. Can't repeat the past? Why, of course you can... of course you can. '.
