The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Vance. Those never looked like landing.
As Vance tries to get set, Jefferies tries to push him back and clinch up but Vance manages to avoid the attempt.
Jefferies looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A punch lands to the side of Jefferies 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jefferies moves out of range of the strikes.
Jefferies throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jefferies thows a left - swing and a miss!
A little jabbing left from Vance on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Vance lunges at Jefferies with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jefferies's hand.

Jefferies lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Jefferies tries to stall but Vance uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Vance throws a head punch that misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

With the fighters up against the cage, Jefferies throws an elbow but misses.

Vance works on Jefferies's body with a couple of short punches.
Vance pushes off an throws an elbow but Jefferies leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Jefferies gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Vance is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jefferies dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jefferies thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Vance is pushing Jefferies's head away, looking to escape. Jefferies manages to hold on to the position though.

Jefferies working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Vance is being controlled here.
