With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerry Johnson!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belcher doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Belcher shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson swings for the body but Belcher moves out of range.
Belcher looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Good standup being displayed there by Johnson as he connects with a hook.
Belcher keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Belcher manages to avoid it.
Belcher shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Belcher. Belcher circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Johnson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Belcher rather than just go for the knockout.
Belcher throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Belcher darts in looking for a takedown but Johnson gets double underhooks and turns Belcher into the cage.

Belcher manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
