Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donkey Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Slevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Awesome Donkey Kong. The crowd seem to be enjoying Slevin's choice of entrance music: timber. Tony Slevin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donkey Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Slevin!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Slevin misses with an uppercut. Kong saw that one coming.
Slevin moves out of range as Kong throws a body kick.
A solid body kick from Kong.
Kong takes a swing at Slevin's ribcage but misses.
Kong takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kong uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Slevin.
Kong moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Kong throws a low kick but Slevin avoids it.
Slevin closes the distance but Kong moves to the side
and Kong counters with a good low kick that Slevin was not able to check.

Slevin moves into the clinch.
Kong misses with a hook from the clinch.

Slevin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kong fails with an attempt to clinch.
Slevin looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Slevin throws a poor cross that misses

and Kong counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kong.
Kong is pushing Slevin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kong lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Tony Slevin has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slevin misses with the head strike.
Slevin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kong pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Slevin is trying to pull guard but Kong has him pressed against the cage.
Slevin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kong prevents it.
Donkey Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Slevin.
Slevin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kong smiles and moves away.
Kong scores with a punch to the head.
Kong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slevin circles away quickly and effectively.
A big right from Slevin misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Slevin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kong has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blood Gang in the buildup to the fight.
Slevin swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Slevin tries to keep at a distance but Kong has taken the fight into the clinch.
Slevin tries to pull guard but Kong won't allow it.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Slevin.
Slevin jumps guard but Kong stands there with Slevin around his waist. Slevin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kong taking a breather.
A right handed body shot lands from Kong.
Slevin dodges an elbow strike from Kong.
Kong lands with a short shot to the head.
Slevin looking for a takedown.
Slevin fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kong swings away with an uppercut that misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Slevin blocks an elbow strike from Kong.
Kong swings wildly with an uppercut but Slevin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kong misses with some punches.
Slevin has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kong seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Slevin can turn it around.
Slevin struggles to land a body shot inside as Kong controls his hands.
Kong misses with a hook from the clinch.
Kong misses with a hook to the ribs.
Slevin fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kong tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kong lands a right hand that snaps the head of Slevin backwards.

Slevin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kong stalls.
Slevin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kong tries to land knees in the clinch but Slevin avoids the damage to the body.
Slevin is looking for a takedown.
Slevin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kong stops a takedown attempt from Slevin.
Slevin has a couple of punches blocked by Kong.
Slevin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Slevin tries to pull guard but Kong holds him up against the cage and eventually Slevin drops back down to his feet.
Kong misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Slevin tries to circle away but Kong has him pinned against the cage.
Slevin dodges an elbow strike from Kong.

Slevin jumps guard and drags Kong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Slevin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Slevin is looking for a triangle but Kong pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slevin is keeping the position for now.
Kong wants to control from the top but Slevin keeps moving.
Kong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slevin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Slevin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kong controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slevin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kong controls from within his opponent's guard.

Slevin is looking for a triangle but Kong pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donkey Kong dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tony Slevin's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kong throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Kong drops Slevin with a beautiful combination! Slevin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kong is looking for the KO!
Kong lands with an uppercut that bounces Slevin off the cage and back into range.


Slevin is rocked!
Kong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Donkey Kong is winning the standup battle so far.
Slevin blocks a head kick by Kong.
Slevin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kong looks to land a left hand but Slevin moved out of range nicely.
Slevin throws a nice looking combination but Kong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kong avoids a punch combination nicely.
A jab lands there for Slevin.
Slevin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kong lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Slevin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Slevin misses with a hook from the clinch.
Slevin fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Slevin misses with a hook from the clinch.
Kong scores with a shoulder strike.
Slevin jumps guard but Kong turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Kong blocks a body shot from Slevin.
Slevin goes for a takedown attempt but Kong pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Donkey Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Slevin.
Slevin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kong is looking to land body kicks.
Kong fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Slevin on the side of the head.
Slevin is still on wobbly legs! Can Kong finish him?
Slevin wants to clinch.
Slevin seems to have recovered his senses.
Kong wants to clinch.
Slevin wants to stay close but Kong steps back to make room for something. Slevin seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Kong and Slevin drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Donkey Kong!
After the fight, Donkey Kong was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Tony Slevin was interviewed post fight and said 'ill be round your house later with the lads'.
