The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredriksson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Perkules swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Fredriksson thuds a left hand into Perkules's body.
Fredriksson misses with a lunging right hand
and Perkules counters with a nice leg kick.
Veli Ilkka Perkules seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fredriksson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Perkules.
Nice straight punches there by Perkules. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Perkules.
Perkules swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fredriksson counters with a left to the body.
Fredriksson takes a jab right on the kisser.
Perkules pushes Fredriksson away with a front kick.
Fredriksson throws a shot from downtown. Perkules moves away and avoids it.
Perkules is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fredriksson is rocked!
Perkules cracks Fredriksson on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Fredriksson falls backwards against the cage. Perkules follows up with more strikes that drop Fredriksson to his knees. Perkules keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Fredriksson! This one is all over!
