The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Alvarez with that takedown attempt.
Heart throws a fast counter high kick but Alvarez manages to duck under it in time.

Heart tries to keep at a distance but Alvarez has taken the fight into the clinch.
Alvarez tries to pull guard but Heart holds him up against the cage and eventually Alvarez drops back down to his feet.

Heart breaks the clinch.
Alvarez looks to land a combination but Heart avoids it well.
Heart counters with a body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvarez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Heart counters with a thumping low kick.

Alvarez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Alvarez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Alvarez can't find room to land a body shot as Heart controls the action.
A frustrated look appears on Heart's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Alvarez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alvarez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Heart slips a jab and a cross from Alvarez.
Heart avoids the body shot from Alvarez.

Alvarez moves into the clinch.

Alvarez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Heart stuffs the takedown attempt from Alvarez. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet.
Heart steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eduardo Alvarez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Heart counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

and Heart counters with a good low kick that Alvarez was not able to check.
Alvarez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Alvarez misses with a series of wild punches.
Heart thinks about the counter body kick.
Alvarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Heart takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Alvarez wants to clinch up but Heart keeps it at a distance.
Heart is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Alvarez lets loose with a powerful body kick. Heart will feel that in the morning.
Tahar Heart is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alvarez misses with a takedown
and Heart counters with a monster head kick that knocks Alvarez out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!
