Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shunsui Kyoraku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 48 - 24 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Diego Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shunsui Kyoraku!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyoraku lands an overhand right.
Kyoraku throws a one two combo.
Sanchez takes one to the side of the head.
Sanchez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sanchez avoids the head kick by Kyoraku.
Kyoraku fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kyoraku works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A clash of legs there as Sanchez blocks the low kick.
Kyoraku throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sanchez.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanchez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kyoraku manages to avoid it.

Sanchez cracks Kyoraku with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kyoraku tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sanchez pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kyoraku is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Our winner, Diego Sanchez, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
