Masters is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by It's Been Awhile by Staind. Dewo Banget could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Darius Masters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dewo Banget!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Masters!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banget closes the distance and pushes Masters back into the cage.

Banget has Masters pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Banget pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Masters tumbling to the mat - Banget dives into Masters's guard.

Banget is looking to work some ground and pound but Masters has wrist control.
Masters wants to sweep but no luck.

Masters looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Banget is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banget has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Banget trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Banget slips nicely into half guard.
Banget content to control rather than advance.
Masters blocking the ground and pound attempt from Banget.
Banget throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Banget thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Masters has a hand on Banget's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Banget takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Masters wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Banget.

Banget's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Banget throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Masters working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Banget postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Masters looks a forlorn figure.
Banget sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Masters tries to lock up and control but Banget gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Poor strikes thrown by Banget there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Banget unloads with some shots from mount but Masters bucks and avoids them well.
Masters tries to hold on but Banget pushes him away.
Masters is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Banget is staying active.
Banget looking to finish with strikes here!
Masters is trying desperately to improve position.
Banget cracks Masters with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dewo Banget!
After the fight, Dewo Banget was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
